Mr John Swaine was born in 1865 in Redmile Leicestershire. He moved to Newark upon marriage in c.1891 and lived in Philadelphia Place off Albert Street. The fire station was on nearby Portland Street. Please note due to size of donated image, this image is unlikely to reproduce well.
