First performance of the Newark Town Band at the Savoy Cinema on Sunday 16th March 1958. The appearance took place between screenings and they performed a thirty minute selection of light and popular music. Pictured far left (with bow tie) is Mr. Bill Pearce, joint founder of the band. Next to him is the band's conductor, Mr. Robert English, who is discussing the programme with Mr. R, Fox, manager of the Savoy.
