Looking west. On the right is the ex-millwright's workshop. Situated alongside the River Greet, Maythorne was the site of the Silk Mill which operated until 1944. Some employees lived in Southwell, others in the cottage built at the site. The mill building has now been converted into flats. See also NCCE000784.
