Mr R. A. Sheldrake with his fathers motorbikes. His father's initials were A.J.S; and by coincidence (or design) the make of the right machine is an AJS. His parents ran a wallpaper shop at 43, Appleton Gate and Reginald was their eldest son. Reginald Sheldrake was later to be a pharmacist at his own chemists shop at 35 Appleton Gate, Newark.
