Ransome original design single row ball journal (radial) bearing. Note the ball filling slot in the inner and outer rings and the open pockets in the machined one piece brass cage. Ransome's member of staff, Henry Marles, designed and developed the first bearings for A Ransome Wood Turning and Tree Felling machinery about 1905. These were covered by joint patnets 10269 and 10538.
