The following all worked as land army girls in the Collingham area. Back row: far left: Violet Parnham (nee Smith), Gladys Empsall (nee Stamfield), 6th left: Lillian Woolfitt, 7th left: Joan Alice Baston (nee Mathews), Mary Hill, 9th right: Joan Barnard, 7th right: Cynthia Shaw, far right: Barbara Norris. Seated: 2nd left: Barbara Flatters, 2nd right: Barbara Thompson, far right: Bobbie Lyons and Madge Langham. Barbara Flatters is seated directly in front of Lillian Woolfit, the two being sisters. Lillians dress is coloured red, and later had a fur collar added. (Additional information kindly supplied by Bruce Woolfitt).
