From the general style of the complete vehicle, this bus can be given a date of circa 1927/8. The body, by Stephenson's of Newark, has been coach built onto a Morris Commercial one-ton T type chassis. In1924, Morris Commercial Cars Ltd. was formed at Adderley Park, Birmingham, to manufacture the new T-type commercial vehicle. Morris cars and car-based light vans, continued to be built at Cowley, Oxford. When this bus was built it would have been considered the latest of what was available, both mechanically and in body style, for a utility vehicle.
