This picture shows a Brumpton's Tours bus at a bus stand on the Wharf, Newark. This is a Bedford bus with Thurgood coachwork, registration number MVW 68 issued in December 1947 (Essex). The bus was probably running on the Newark to Dunham on Trent route. It was acquired from Hird and Co., Clayworth in March 1955 and disposed of to Killick's of Shelley in 1956. In the background is the warehouse of Newark Egg Packers Ltd.
