The car in the covered yard entrance is a Panhard, c.1900, but issued with registration number AL35 retrospectively at the start of car registration in Nottinghamshire, between 26th November and 31st December 1903. The original registration for AL35 was to a 7hp Daimler Wagonette owned by James Simpson & Co. Ltd., Engine Works, Newark. The registration was transferred on 23rd April 1909, the owner remaining the same.
