The Beaumond Cross, which dates to the 14th century. This photograph was taken in 1907 when the cross still stood in its original position at the junction of Cartergate, Lombard Street and Albert Street. The cross has since been relocated to the Beaumond Gardens. In the background may be seen the premises of Harrison and Co. (far left) who sold photographic materials; A Wadsworth (sweet shop); J Wadsworth (joiner and funeral contractor) and C Franks and Sons, basket makers (far right).
