The rear of the mill looking south east. The building has been known as Caudwell's Mill since 1851 when it was bought by Charles Caudwell. It produced 'Greet Lily Flour' used by local bakers, including Gadsby's of Southwell (see NCCE000804). The mill suffered serious fires in 1867, 1893 and 1917. The building was taken over by Associated British Foods who closed it in 1969. After this it was owned by 'Happy Pets' pet food manufacturers, and has now been converted into flats.
