Possibly the first brick building in Newark on Trent

Courtesy of Paul James Stansall RIBA

These 17th century 'Dutch' houses in Millgate were demolished in 1965. The three-storey dwellings had tall Jacobean brick gables and bay windows. They were sketched just days before demolition by Paul James Stansall for his A level Art History portfolio.
