Flight of Fancy Sculpture, Hucknall

The Flight of Fancy sculpture in Hucknall designed by artist Liz Lemon. The sculpture was inspired by Hucknall's industrial heritage and references Rolls Royce, Ada Lovelace, and the local textiles industry among other themes. Its design incorporates a Tay mixer, a component of a Rolls Royce manufactured engine. It is sometimes referred to locally as the 'lemon squeezer'. The sculpture was a joint project between Ashfield District Council, Liz Lemon, Rolls Royce and m-tec.
