Ghost House Lane

This is where Ash Flat House once stood, a cottage which created a whole host of ghost stories that still resound to this day. Nearly two centuries ago the murder of a pedlar was said to have happened here, leading to a deathbed confession, a missing body, and dramatic poltergeist activity which drew people in from miles around. Some of the phenomena was said to include loud bangs, objects moving, groans and other noises. Although the house is no longer standing,, the eerie lane and its enigmatic name are still here as reminders of the past, and it's not hard to imagine yourself travelling back in time...
