(factory co-owner), Mrs. Frances Barrowcliffe and Miss Olive Smith. Mrs. Barrowcliffe was married to Charles Barrowcliffe who was for many years the Divisional Superintendent of the St. John's Ambulance brigade. They lived at 9 (later renamed 11) Huthwaite Road, opposite the cemetery. Miss Olive Smith was a well-known local fundraiser who frequently organised visits to pantomimes in Nottingham and Sheffield after the war. Simpson, Wright and Lowe became part of the Coats Viyella group. The factory has now closed and housing built on the site.
