Skegby Hall was built in the early 18th century by the Lindley Family, and was extended in the 19th century and in 1946. The Lindley Family held the manor of Skegby for 300 years from 1450. It was then the residence of the Dodsley family, then an approved school, then a community home for children and now let as flats. It has extensive gardens, part of which are now included in the Skegby Trail.
