Employee shown with letter which shows New Hucknall Colliery being reprieved from closure; it was withdrawn from the closure list in a telegram from Sir Derek Ezra on 23rd February 1981. The pit eventually closed in 1982 (The location is not to be confused with the Hucknall closer to Nottingham.)
