This photograph was taken in 1910 by local enthusiast Mr F A White. He had come to Flintham that year and became proprietor of the local shop. Upon arrival at Flintham in 1910 Mr White set up home in the cottage on the corner of Main Street and Woods Lane. Pictured here are his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) and daughter, Muriel May, aged 3-4 (with teddy bear). Still largely unchanged today, the property is now known as Old Barn Cottage. (M M White)
