Between 1910 and 1949 the proprietor of the village shop was Frederick Arthur White. He began his working life as a draper in Chesterfield before moving to Flintham to take over 'The Stores'. Mr White was a keen amateur photographer. N.B It is not known why Mr White here photographed himself in uniform.
