Albert Cast was recruited into the RAF in November 1941.He was trained as a wireless operator and gunner. Deployed to Suez aboard the Athlone Castle, then onto Bombay (Mumbai), finally arriving at Chittagong. Role of 2739 Squadron was to defend airfields to keep the army supplied as they advanced.
