Photograph of Sergeant John James Jephson on bunting. He served in the Royal Leicestershire (Tigers) Regiment in the Far East and was a POW in Japan. He was awarded the Pacific Star Medal and the Burma Star Medal among others. He joined the army before war broke out by lying about his age.
