The Great Northern Railway 0-4-4 locomotive designed by Stirling worked much of the passenger traffic over the Nottingham Suburban Railway. This train has possibly come from Skegby or Shirebrook and would have called at Sherwood, St Ann's Well and Thorneywood before terminating at Nottingham Victoria Station.
