When the Bonington Cinema was demolished in April 1963 the site was bought by the Nottingham Co-operative Society as a possible future site. All the cinema fittings, seat etc were taken to their Educational Centre on Broad Street, now the site of the Broadway Cinema. The clock hangs by Screen 1 and is all that remains of the Bonington Cinema.
