Looking north towards the Market Place with a Midland General ('blue bus') open platform double-deck bus at the stop outside Hucknall on the route towards Eastwood. The entrance on the right is Half Moon Yard and leads to the public house of that name, while the cottages beyond appear to be boarded up and awaiting demolition, a fate that befell them at some date between 1957 and 1966, thus allowing road widening at this point.
