The bridge across Marlborough Road was removed at some time from late 1957 to early 1959. This image is also from that period. The building on the left was Hill Bros the builders, and their new building, on the same site was begun and completed in 1959. The foreground of the image is now occupied by Marlborough Road electricity sub-station (probably completed in 1964).
