Pictured here is member of library staff Rebekah Iggleden with a display on the Harrier Jump Jet. Rolls Royce came to Hucknall Library aerodrome in 1935 extending into a testing establishment for aero engines. The VTO (vertical take off) engines were developed in the 1950's and the prototype of the Harrier Jump Jet known as the Flying Bedstead was born here.
