Arthur Shrewsbury was one of the greatest players to represent England. The great man, W. G. Grace, when asked who he would like in his team said 'give me Arthur'. After performing so brilliantly for his County and Country he lost form and committed suicide in his home at 41, Shearing Hill Gedling in 1903. A sad end to the life of one of England's greatest cricketers.
