This picture shows a group of children taking part in a procession dressed in various national costumes. It represents countries of the world, the little girl with the union jack around her was then Marilyn Perkins (now Marilyn Turner). The girl carrying the maypole was Joyce Rockley. The picture was taken near the Nottingham Co-operative Society store (seen on the left) the shop on the right is Sybil Barnetts cycle shop. The small lady on the left wearing glasses is Lizzie Sturton. (information kindly supplied by Peter Turner).
