Feeding birds in an orchard believed to have been at the top of Carlisle Road. Mr Aslin was a Carlton butcher who had a tiny butcher's shop on Main Street. When he died, his daughter Nelly, who worked with him, ran the shop. The shop is now disused and boarded-up (and Nelly has retired to Hucknall Library). See also NCCC000442
