Brackner's Farm was called Whyburn Farm and was situated off Whyburn Lane and Washdyke Lane. A Mr William Brackner was farmer here until he retired in 1933. Before then his father, George Brackner farmed here and he and his wife came here as the first tenants. Previous to it being called Whyburn Farm, it was called Godber's Farm (as detailed on William Brackner's birth certificate) as Cannon Godber owned the farm.
