Looking towards the town. Norfolk Drive can be seen on the left beyond the horse and cart. Out of view behind the trees on the left was West Bank House, the home of George Pickard, a town grocer and Belvedere Street jam factory owner. The road was widened with its present dual-carriageway in 1934-5.
