Originally opened in 1869 as a British School, it only became known as Arnold Front Street in 1907. It housed mostly infants and juniors but some seniors between 1926 and 1934. This picture shows the exterior view from Front Street at its junction with Nottingham Road. The plaque at top left reads 'Arnold Board School', which would have been added in 1877.
