Text from the photographer at the time the photograph was taken: Post demoltion of the railway bridge over Ilkeston Road (A609). The bridge was demolished on Sunday 19 January 1975. This photograph is looking north from the Melton Road shopping precinct. On the right is Glebe Road. Work is still in progress to remove the foundations of the west buttress and single line traffic working is in operation. The church is Musters Road Baptist at the junction of Musters, Melton and North Roads.
