Lizzie Rowe, seen here on the left, was the daughter of Walter and Elizabeth Rowe. She was the trainer of the Ladies City Football Club. Walter Rowe was a bootmaker and repairer based at 62 Kingston Road, Sneinton. The Rowe family emigrated in 1907. Kingston Street used to run east to west from Manvers Street, across Beaumont Street, to Lower Eldon Street near the junction with Sneinton Road.
