Old timber-framed building at the junction of Main Street and Bucks Lane, Sutton Bonington

This building was probably built about 1650. The upper door in the side elevation would have opened into a loft for storage. There is a story that this house was once considered as a home for Charles-Marie Bonaparte, father of Napoleon, after the failure of an uprising in Corsica.
