Swann Court
Sutton Bonington
England

Shown here is the tapestry depicting noteworthy buildings and features of the village. It was organised by Mrs Swann (widow of Dr Swann, after whom the court is named) and each section was made by a different villager. On completion they were all assembled and stitched together. The tapestry was created to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of H M Queen Elizabeth II. It was featured on television and went on display in various parts of the county and has since hung in the communal hall of Swann Court, a senior citizens maisonette complex.
