Showing the rear of the farmhouse and is appurtenant buildings. On the left is the entrance to the car park of the Rancliffe Arms Inn. Application had been made by the Home Brewery for the purchase of these 17th century buildings, in order to demolish them and extend their carpark. However, an existing preservation order prevents this. The farm was unoccupied at the time this photograph was taken - see Evening Post, 4 March 1975, p4.
