Close-up view of the pedimented gable end of a former farmhouse at the junction of College Street and Straw's Lane showing a diamond-shaped datestone and a lead fire insurance plaque (the latter visible immediately below the base of the pediment). The datestone is inscribed 'JC 1826'. The house and its attached barn and stable were listed Grade II in 1986.
