The Black Lion Inn was on the opposite side of the road to the present Black Lion. The present Inn was a farm. This photo is of the original Inn and it would now be known to the locals as Onions Butcher and now the local craft shop. The support for the sign still exists. The building later became a Tesco Express (2015).
