The school opened in 1913 with the pictured premises occupied from 1915. It was located in an isolated position a considerable distance to the west of the village and this view is looking north-east showing the playground or school yard divided into two halves for boys and girls by railings. The toilet block (right) is similarly split. The school house can be seen to the left. It was later known as Rampton Primary School.
