Nichol Ostler (1797 -1871) born at Saint Pauls in Lincolnshire and came from South Carlton near Lincoln. He had at least three sons, including Aaron, George and Nicholas, who were all bakers or millers in South Retford in the late nineteenth century. Also the grandfather of Harry and Alice of Retford.
