A photograph of pupils and staff on a school trip to the Chesterfield Canal in July 1968. See also NCCN000689. Website contributor Alan Marsden very kindly relates the following information: "The man stood up and bending forward (light coloured trousers) is me..was at Gringley Lock with our boat (not the boat in the picture). My son Paul is just visible in front of me. Boated on the canal for many years and in 1976 went to work on the canal with British Waterways for about 15 years."
