The large Victorian Town Hall and Half Moon Public House, standing in the south side of the Market Place. The Town Hall is built in the 'Francois I' style (early French Renaissance named after Francis I, 1515-47, marked especially by an all-over use of small-scale classical ornament), and was executed by Bellamy and Hardy of Lincoln in 1866-8.
