George Tissington was born in 1866 in Carlton, Nottinghamshire, and was married to Eliza Fenton, born in 1870 in Kilton, Worksop. Their son Percy, born 1908 at Scaftworth Hall, Scaftworth, was the father of John William Tissington, born 1933 at Torworth, Nottinghamshire. (Information very kindly supplied by Kevin Tissington - the son of John William and Great-Grandson of George).
