Looking north showing the almost completed demolition of the bridge that carried the ex-Midland Railway branch from Mansfield to Southwell. This line was opened in 1871 and closed in 1983, although latterly it only extended from Mansfield South Junction to Rufford Colliery. In this view all that remains is the lower section of the western abutment on the left and some of steel trough decking lying on the ground to the right.
