Looking north showing the bridge that carried the ex-Midland Railway branch from Mansfield to Southwell. This line was opened in 1871 and closed in 1983, although latterly it only extended from Mansfield South Junction to Rufford Colliery. This view was taken shortly before the bridge was demolished in August 1986.
