Looking south showing demolition of the plate girder bridge that carried the ex-Midland Railway branch from Mansfield to Southwell over Littleworth. This line was opened in 1871 and closed in 1983. In this view a crane is being used to lift out the south side girder, which will be placed on the articulated lorry in the right foreground prior to disposal. The stone abutments were also removed as part of the demolition.
