Foot of Bridge Street. St Peter & St Paul's Church wall on the left. Picture the Past website user Berisford Jones comments: 'This photo is later than suggested [it was originally dated here as 1969]. Up until November 1974 traffic on Toothill Lane went up from Bridge Street but the photo shows the road layout and traffic signs accommodating traffic flowing down Toothill. Thus the date is November 1974 or later. However, seeing as Purdy tended to take pictures of the 'changes' in Mansfield, I suspect it is indeed November 1974'.
