The engineering works is located at the former premises of the Trent Brewery. On the gateposts is the emblem of the brewery, a coat of arms based on the town crest of Newark-on-Trent. The River Trent flows immediately behind the premises and in the centre background are the premises on the south end of Tolney Lane and Kelham Woods.
